Ethan DeLeon joined the Small Nation team in October 2021, as our Digital Content Partner & Podcast Host. He leads the photo, video, and written content for Small Nation’s various social media and online platforms.
Ethan studied at Southeastern University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business and Professional Leadership. He is passionate about communicating through video and has worked as a freelance photographer and videographer for three years prior to joining the Small Nation team.
Ethan lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Angelee, and is an active member of Ethos Church in Lewis Center, where he often serves the congregation from behind a camera. He is an Eagle Scout and is also surprisingly good at Spikeball.

In Ethan’s words:
What motivates you? Why do you get up every day to do this kind of work?
I love the opportunity to combine my creative ideas with the awesome things that the Small Nation team is doing. I am pumped to be a part of a team that is refusing to be passive and is taking action in their community.

What are 3 personal beliefs or values you hold strong to and act in support of?
1. Learn By Doing. Too often people get held back by fear of failure, but you are already failing by not starting.
2. Always Be Growing. You should strive to continually seek growth in all areas of life. There is always room for growth.
3.  Listen before speaking. We can all learn something from each other, but we will never get to see the value in other people if we never stop to listen.

What kind of contribution and impact do you want to make on the world?
My personal mission is to “make a difference.” I am confident that working with Small Nation is one of my first opportunities to walk towards this mission and do something that will pursue new opportunities that will make a lasting impact for myself and my community.
