In Bo’s words:

What was your first job?
My first job ever was with my uncle at the age of 13. He brought me into his landscaping business, taught me how to provide good customer service, and that it’s the little details that sometimes matter most.  The experience instilled a great work ethic in me.

What motivates you? Why do you get up every day to do this kind of work?
What motivates me and gets me out of bed in the mornings, is knowing that I have family depending on me to provide for them. When I was a bachelor, my life revolved around solely my ambitions and goals. Now that I am a step-father, my motivation is my step-kids as I want to provide them with a better start in life than what I was given.

strong>What are 3 personal beliefs or values you hold strong to and act in support of?

  1. Upfront honesty is the best policy.
  2. Karma is real, you get what you give.
  3. There is a time & place for everything.

What do you know for sure?
I know for sure that at the end of the day, no matter what has happened, my amazing family will be there to support me through it all.

In a sentence or two, how would you articulate the professional legacy you want to leave. What kind of contribution and impact do you want to make on the world?
I want the legacy I leave behind to inspire others who come from similar backgrounds. We were always lower-middle class when I was growing up and never had the nicest of anything. I remember utilities being shut-off on a frequent basis, times where there wasn’t enough food for 3 meals a day, and watching my parents struggle with addiction and alcoholism. Even after my rough upbringing, and being unable to afford college, I was able to teach and train myself to become the man I always wanted. I want to inspire others to do the same.

In addition to being paid money, how else has your career created value in your life?
Learning how to do graphic design has opened up an entirely new world to me. I am able to help my step-children with certain school projects, design custom stickers and other random merchandise for our family to wear, and am able to teach my step-children a skill that will be in very high demand when it comes time for them to get a career.

What is your personal motto?
Everyday is an opportunity to better yourself, never take it for granted.
