October 13, 2025 – Downtown Bellefontaine is welcoming a new addition to its growing mix of health and beauty services. Megs the Esthi, a custom lash and beauty studio founded by licensed esthetician Meg Patrick, is opening in the Historic Opera Block. The new salon will offer clients a personalized, relaxing experience focused on enhancing natural beauty through expert lash and brow services.

Patrick, who studied at the Aveda Institute, says her journey to business ownership began years ago during her esthetics program. “During a marketing class, we were asked to create a Facebook page for a potential business, and that’s when Megs the Esthi was born,” she explained. “I’ve always been passionate about beauty, artistry, and helping people feel their most confident. After years in the industry, I wanted to create a space that reflects both my personality and my clients’ needs – one that feels unique, cozy, and relaxing.”

At Megs the Esthi, Meg prioritizes lash health and customization over a one-size-fits-all approach. Her process involves creating tailored lash sets that complement each client’s natural lashes, eye shape, and lifestyle. In addition to classic, hybrid, and volume lash extensions, the studio will offer lash lifts, tints, brow shaping, and tinting services. A small retail section will feature local products such as body scrubs and self-care items to encourage collaboration and highlight other small businesses in the community.

Meg’s business is about much more than aesthetics. “Most people don’t realize how much of myself I pour into every appointment,” she said. “This isn’t just about lashes, it’s about creating a safe, welcoming space where clients can relax, laugh, and feel like themselves. Many of my clients tell me they leave feeling more confident and refreshed – it’s self-care for the soul.”

“Meg has built a loyal following through her focus on quality and personal connection and her business reflects the continued growth and diversification of the Historic Opera Block,” said Keyne Strickland, Leasing and Property Manager for Small Nation. “Her new studio will add to the momentum of service professionals investing in Downtown Bellefontaine and creating experiences that make our downtown a destination,” Strickland said.

Megs the Esthi is now open at 116 E. Court Ave. Clients can book appointments and explore services at megstheesthi.glossgenius.com or follow Megs the Esthi on Facebook. For inquiries, contact 937-935-1556.
