Jason Duff Awarded Young Preservationist of the Year by Heritage Ohio

Heritage Ohio, Ohio’s official historic preservation and Main Street organization is pleased to announce that Jason Duff has been selected as 2019 Young Preservationist of the Year. This award is presented to an individual, under the age of 40 who has shown outstanding leadership in revitalizing and preserving communities in Ohio.  

Jason Duff is the Founder of the firm Small Nation.  Small Nation invests in places, spaces and dreams for small towns and entrepreneurs.  Over the past 10 years, Jason and the Small Nation team have renovated more than 30 historic structures, many in Historic Downtown Bellefontaine, Ohio.  These renovations include the addition of several new restaurants, retail stores and coffee shops.  In addition, Jason has been instrumental in saving the Historic Canby Building and Bellefontaine Historic Post office from being demolished.  In 2016, Heritage Ohio also recognized Small Nation’s luxury loft apartment project Lofts110 as the Best Upper Floor Renovation project.
