Karsen Drake joined the Small Nation team in 2026 as a Project & Maintenance Coordinator, supporting the organization’s real estate operations through hands-on project work, property maintenance, and coordination across multiple downtown properties. In his role, Karsen works closely with the team to help execute property improvements, maintain building quality, and ensure spaces are ready to serve both tenants and the community.

Growing up in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Karsen developed a strong appreciation for small-town growth and the impact of revitalization efforts. His interest in entrepreneurship led him to start his own automotive detailing business, Karsen’s Shine & Detail, where he built a client base through consistency, attention to detail, and customer service. That same mindset carries into his work at Small Nation, where he continues to learn and contribute across a wide range of projects.

Karsen is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management at Clark State College, further developing his knowledge in operations, leadership, and business strategy to support his long-term growth in real estate and entrepreneurship.

Karsen is known for being highly coachable, hands-on, and willing to take initiative in fast-paced environments. Whether assisting with maintenance needs, supporting property upgrades, or coordinating with team members, he brings energy and a strong work ethic to everything he does. He is especially interested in continuing to grow within real estate, project coordination, and business development.

Outside of work, you’ll see him staying active, looking for the best food spots, spending quality time with his family, and working on vehicles. He takes pride in being part of a team that is focused on investing in people and places, and is excited to play a role in helping small towns continue to grow and succeed.
