October 17, 2025 – Downtown Bellefontaine recently welcomed a new kind of healthcare provider. New Age Medical Services, a locally owned business founded by Nurse Practitioner Mackenzie Hurley, officially opened on Monday, October 6, inside the Main Street Marketplace at 130 S. Main Street, Suite 106.
The new practice will bring mobile urgent care and a range of other health services directly to the community. Mackenzie, who was born and raised in Bellefontaine, said her vision for New Age Medical Services began with one simple goal: improving access to healthcare close to home.
“I decided to start my business to improve access to healthcare in my hometown by providing mobile urgent care services, and have since grown to offer many other services,” said Mackenzie.
While mobile urgent care is at the core of Hurley’s mission, the new Bellefontaine location will feature a wide variety of health and wellness services. Patients will be able to access urgent care, IV hydration therapy, weight loss management, prenatal services, and health screenings. New Age will also red light therapy, compression therapy, and PCR testing, as well as health memberships, emergency medication kits, and supplements.
In addition, the clinic will partner with a podiatrist available on select days, bringing more specialty care into the community. Event medical services, including IV hydration events, are also part of the offerings, with plans to expand collaborations with local businesses and organizations.
Mackenzie emphasized that the business will evolve with the needs of the community. “We welcome recommendations on what our community would like us to offer,” she said.
New Age Medical Services joins a growing number of health and wellness providers in Downtown Bellefontaine, further diversifying the services available at the Main Street Marketplace. Anytime Fitness and A Peaceful Place Massage Company offer physical health services nearby, and upstairs in the Marketplace is mental health services at Christine Greenwald Counseling, all adding to the mix of wellness options available downtown.
“Healthcare access is a critical part of every community, and we’re thrilled that Mackenzie chose to invest her talents and resources right here in Bellefontaine,” said Keyne Strickland, Leasing and Property Manager for Small Nation. “Her passion for serving people and her innovative approach to urgent care make New Age Medical Services an incredible addition to Downtown. This is exactly the type of business that strengthens our community.”
